In my previous blog I presented the importance of the 12 basic asanas which represent the starting point of your personal practice. Once you will understand and feel comfortable practicing those 12 Asanas, you will learn more about variations.
Everybody has his own rhythm, let’s not burn the steps. Be gentle with your body and you will see that with time any pose is achievable.

Yoga is for everybody, doesn’t matter your age, size or weight. Everyone of us is different, we all have our favorite exercices and our weaknesses, let’s discover which one is yours (You can observe below the Triangle, Cobra and Bow poses which are part of the 12 basic Asanas)
You will learn how to relax yourself through right position and breathing exercices (You can see below, specific position used for this purpose: Corpse, Crocodile and Child poses).
To stretch the body in order to stay young and strong (kneeling, shooting bow and head to knees poses which are part of the variations)
To improve your balance to facilitate your everyday’s concentration (Lord Nataraja, the firefly and handstand poses which are part of the variations).
To better understand your body and mind, you will need to have An Holistic approach. It means to practice, to focus and to enjoy what you do as the same time. To do so, it is important to combine different position and movement that will evolve with your personal practice. Thus you will always STRENGTHEN your knowledge through a routine of movement and the discovery of new ones.
The practice of variations poses will allow you to strengthen your mind via concentration. You will learn more about your body and mind through new positions.

You will strengthen your body because you will toned your muscle, improved your flexibility and balance at the same time.

To conclude, you will have a better understanding of your body and mind via different movement combining breathing technics and specific positions.
